ABSTRACT<\/strong><\/p>

Bribery in the Thai bureaucracy arising from the patronage system derived from the upper structure of the administrative system of the government or bureaucracy which was a system of interpersonal relationships within the government organizations that represented the status of the power and role which represented the position and expected behavior of a person cause division of labor followed a specific aptitude or expertise. However, there was a system of integration to control and examine operations for efficiency. The fundamental structure of the bureaucratic system was the hierarchy of command (Hierarchy), which was an important aspect of the bureaucratic structure, so that showed no matter what position or agency was in the hierarchy of authority in any organization descending it had the effect of being in higher ranks more authority over those of lower ranks in both of control and punishment to ensure unity of work and organization. The system of relationships between subunits within a bureaucratic organization was established from communication and coordination; each department must comply with rules and regulations in the same direction for work efficiency. According to this chain of command, there was the power to command from the superior chain of command. It had a role in determining the behavior of officials in government agencies that could lead to corruption. The government organizations and various independent organizations all agreed that corruption was a problem that really hindered the country’s development.<\/p>

Thailand was considered at the forefront of the problem of giving or accepting bribes for Thai bureaucracy from the 2020 Economic Crime and Fraud Survey in Thailand conducted by Price Waterhouse Coopers Thailand (PwC Thailand) or ‘PwC’s Thailand Economic Crime and Fraud Survey 2020; a survey covering all groups found that in the past 2 years, 33% of companies in Thailand affected by corruption and other economic crimes; the problem of bribery and corruption was one of the economic crimes faced the most by businesses (31%), followed by embezzlement (47%) and corruption through procurement (33%), were issues that needed to be addressed quickly and considered as a policy of the government government sector must find a way to prevent and was considered a policy that the government sector must implement, including creating good conscience will be able to create incentives to prevent corruption which leaded to protection and reduced the corruption in Thailand in a sustainable way.<\/p>
